What I Offer

Speaking & Workshops

Allyship is for everyone, all the time. It’s never an afterthought. My talks and workshops help organisations grow awareness and activate allies, treating allyship as an ongoing practice and a journey for life.

How I work with you

Every organisation is different. Before we confirm a session, we’ll talk about where you are on your allyship journey, who will be in the room, and what you want people to think, feel and do differently afterwards. From there, I’ll recommend formats and content that fit your context, not a one‑size‑fits‑all script.

All topics can be delivered as keynotes (30–60 minutes), interactive workshops (60–90 minutes or half‑day), or as part of a longer programme tailored to your organisation.

1. Building Awareness and Activating Allies

Best for: organisations starting or refreshing their allyship work; all‑staff sessions, away days, conferences, ERG events; mixed groups of leaders, managers and team members.

Focus: an honest, practical introduction to allyship that connects what allyship means at work and at home, why it matters, and what it looks like in real behaviour — not just in statements.

  • Build a shared understanding of allyship and what it is not.
  • Reflect on how power, privilege and lived experience show up in everyday situations.
  • Explore the difference between performative and meaningful allyship.
  • Identify simple, concrete actions people can start taking straight away.
  • Leave with language and concepts they can use in conversations back in their teams.

2. Allyship and Leadership

Best for: senior leaders and executives; people managers, team leads and people partners; leadership programmes and away days.

Focus: allyship as an everyday leadership practice, not a “nice extra”. We look at how leaders use their position, decisions and voice to stand alongside others, especially when it is uncomfortable or inconvenient.

  • Understand how allyship connects to leadership, culture and performance.
  • Reflect on how decisions, behaviours and silence impact marginalised people.
  • Learn practical ally behaviours for leaders: sponsorship, advocacy, challenging bias, making space.
  • Explore how to respond when things go wrong, without retreating or centring themselves.
  • Begin to define what an allyship standard could look like in their leadership.

3. Allyship in Organisational Culture and Strategy

Best for: senior leaders and executive teams; HR, DEI, People & Culture and OD functions; strategy, policy and governance teams.

Focus: bringing allyship into how you think, plan and decide: culture, strategy, structures and policies — so it doesn’t live only in training sessions.

  • Connect allyship to organisational risk, trust, retention and performance.
  • Identify where allyship is present — and where it’s missing — in culture, strategy and policy.
  • Learn questions and lenses to apply when designing or reviewing policies and processes.
  • Explore how to build accountability and follow‑through into allyship commitments.
  • Consider what allyship as a strategic practice could look like in your context.

4. Make an Allyship Pledge – Mine Is to Activate Allies

Best for: organisations that have already begun allyship or DEI work; teams who want to move from ideas to concrete commitments; leadership away days, retreats and team‑building events.

Focus: moving from awareness to explicit, personal and organisational commitments. Participants reflect on their allyship journey and craft meaningful, realistic pledges they can live out in everyday life.

  • Reflect on their current level of awareness and action as allies.
  • Explore what it means to make a pledge that is honest, specific and sustainable.
  • Hear examples of allyship pledges at work and at home.
  • Draft their own allyship pledge — as individuals or as a team.
  • Identify the support and accountability they need to keep going.

My own pledge is to activate allies. This session invites people to decide what theirs will be.

5. Creating Space for Marginalised Voices

Best for: leaders, managers and influencers; ERG sponsors and champions; teams wanting to show up differently for marginalised colleagues.

Focus: changing who is heard, who is protected and who gets to rest — without placing all the work or risk on marginalised people.

  • Understand the emotional, physical and career costs of speaking up for marginalised people.
  • Learn how to listen and respond without demanding education or emotional labour.
  • Explore practical ways to amplify voices without speaking over or for people.
  • Consider how to respond when harm has happened, and what repair can look like.
  • Identify changes they can make in meetings, decision‑making and everyday interactions.

Formats, delivery and next steps

Sessions are available as keynotes, workshops and multi‑session journeys, delivered in‑person, online or hybrid where technology allows. Before any session, we’ll talk about your context, language and existing work, and adapt content so it lands with your people and respects your realities.
